Transportation

Students, faculty, and staff have a number of alternative transportation options available to them both on- and off-campus.

SEPTA

Public Transit

SEPTA
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), manages all of the trains, busses and subways in the area. Two trains stop on Villanova’s campus, one on the west side of campus by Mendel Hall, the other on the south side by the South Campus Dorms. Both of these trains make stops in the surrounding towns, as well as providing access to Philadelphia. For more information regarding public transportation options visit the Parking website.

Employee Benefits
Villanova employees who use public transportation to get to work can take advantage of WageWorks, a program to use pre-tax dollars towards public transportation costs. This program can save someone upwards of 17% off the cost of the train ticket. For more information regarding Villanova employee commuter benefits visit the HR website. Anyone who takes public transportation to campus most of the time is able to park for free the few times of year they do need to drive to campus. Just pick up a pass at the parking booth or office.

Campus Shuttle
Parking also provides a campus shuttle for students, faculty and staff. One shuttle loops around campus during the week days, and the other goes off campus to student housing and shopping plazas on both the weekdays and weekends. For more information on the shuttle stops and times visit the Parking website.

Biking
Bike racks are available throughout campus. Students are encouraged to bring their bikes to campus and use them as a means of transportation. Here is a complete map of where campus bike racks are located.

If you don't have your own bike, consider singning up for the Nova Bike Share, a free semester or year long bike share for students.

There is a bike trail in Radnor township that takes you from Conestoga Rd near the 476 overpass, out to where Conestoga Road meets Lancaster Avenue.

Zip Car

Zip Car
Two Zip Cars are available on campus in the East Main Lot. Zip Car is a car share program that allows car rentals by the hour. This program is great for anyone living on campus who doesn’t have or want to bring their car to campus, reducing the amount of parking needed on campus. To sign up go to the Zip Car website. For easy reservations, download the Zipcar app for free and book your next trip on the go.
There is a 9% tax to the hourly car rental price due to Pennsylvania law.
