AV Equipment Loan Discontinuation - Starting 5-31-24

Campus Community,

UNIT is announcing the discontinuation of our ECOM AV Equipment Loan service. Over the years, this service aimed to provide a variety of portable AV equipment (projectors, projection screens, video cameras, audio recorders, etc.) for on and off campus use for faculty, staff, and student borrowers. With lower post-COVID demand and current inventory reaching end of life, we will be ending this service on 5-31-24. Reservations will continue through Spring 2024; however, all borrowed equipment must be returned by 5-31-24. The ECOM AV Equipment Loan service will no longer be an available option in this portal as of 6-1-24. Please note, the Library’s Digital Scholarship Lab has some media equipment for loan, such as DSLR cameras, 360-degree cameras, etc. More information about this service and their available inventory can be found here.

Instructional Technologies provides various types of portable equipment to faculty, staff and students (for university events and projects). This provision is for short term and occasional use of equipment. Students wishing to check out equipment must have a faculty or staff member send an email to Evan Dorsey authorizing the loan of the equipment.

The equipment MUST BE RESERVED 3-4 days in advance and is provided on a first come-first serve basis.  If you have any questions please call E-Com at 610-519-5631.  If you do not speak to someone directly, please leave a message with your name, contact information, along with the date and type of equipment needed.  Someone will promptly return your call.

  • Multi-region Blu-ray/DVD Players
  • Portable PA Systems (Wired and Wireless)
  • Document Cameras (Replaces Transparency/Overhead Projectors)

Legacy equipment may be available for long-term departmental loan. Email support@villanova.edu for long-term loan requests.
