Viewership and Creation of Academic Video Content Increase

As a result of strong faculty utilization of UNIT’s Multimedia Services to create content for on-campus and online courses, viewership of academic video content has increased exponentially. This past year, videos served from the Mediasite system, were viewed 219,000 times, which is comparable to the views of the previous eight years combined. Whether it’s created in the studio, using classroom lecture capture or using MyMediasite when faculty use video based content, students respond. To learn how video can help you engage your students contact Instructional Technologies at cit@villanova.edu

IT Security: Amazon Offers Stronger Protection for Your Account

Amazon is now offering multi-factor authentication to customers; for more information, click HERE.  Many sites respond by implementing stronger security on the back end. But ultimately, you're in charge of your own account, so a method like two-factor authentication gives you the power to better protect yourself. Companies such as Amazon have begun the process of protecting their consumers’ identity using multi-factor authentication.

Hacks against retailers often expose credit card data along with other personal information.
