How do I request a tutor?
There are two ways you can request a tutor. You can request a tutor online by clicking on the following link http://www.villanova.edu/vpaa/academicsupport/tutor/requesttutor.htm. Fill out the online form and click on the submit button. The second option is to come to the Office of Academic Support for Athletics and fill out a tutor request form.  Ssomeone from the Office of Academic Support for Athletics will e-mail you with your tutor assignment within 48-72 hours.

How do I request a paper editor?
Paper editors are available at the Academic Resource Center (ARC) Monday-Thursday evenings from 7-10 pm. Student-athletes do not need to sign-up for an appointment.

What are the hours of the Academic Resource Center (ARC)?
The ARC is open Sunday 5 pm - 10 pm and Monday-Thursday from 4 pm - 10 pm. The ARC is closed on Friday and Saturday.

How many hours of study hall am I required to complete?
If you are a freshman student-athlete, you are required to complete 4 hours of study hall a week. If you are an upperclassman student athlete with a GPA of 2.3 of below, you are required to complete 4 hours of study hall a week.

Can I use a computer from the Athletic Department when I travel?
The Office of Academic Support for Athletics has laptop computers available for student use when traveling for a competition. Laptops are available in the Office of Academic Support for Athletics and can be signed out the day before a student-athlete departs for a competition.

What if I am missing class because of a game?
The Office of Academic Support for Athletics has Varsity Excuse Forms that students are to fill out when missing class due to a competition. Varsity Excuse Forms are to be submitted to professors before the student-athlete misses the class.

How do I contact my mentor?
All incoming freshman student-athletes are assigned a mentor their freshman year. There will be an introductory mentoring meeting at the start of school where you will have an opportunity to meet your mentor for the first time. At the introductory meeting you are to sign up for a meeting time with your mentor. Your mentors information will also be available in a student-athlete planner you will receive in August.

How often do I meet with my mentor?
Mentors and mentees are required to meet once a week.

What if I have a scheduling question? Or want to drop/add a course?
If you have a question about your schedule, please come to the Office of Academic Support located in Jake Nevin Field House and speak with Amy Miller or Jenn Porreca. The Office of Academic Support staff will be able to help you with scheduling, adding or dropping a course, withdrawing from a course, requesting a tutor and much more. NOTE: Do not drop a course without consulting Amy Miller or Jenn Porreca in the Office of Academic Support.
