It is most gratifying to receive a call from an employer saying that they hired a new graduate and asking how they can hire more in the future. Our students and graduates are the best testimonial to the quality and value of a Villanova University education. As our graduates transition into their professional lives, they spread the Villanova network of excellence and caring.
Thanks to the applications of technology, the hiring of Villanova students
and alumni can take place year round. Through our
GoNOVA system (formerly eRecruiting/Experience), employers can post positions, collect resumes and
work with the campus interview program. We look forward to working with you
to hire full-time professionals, and summer, internship and co-op students.
Villanova University Career Services is a member of the National Association

Professional Conduct.
RECRUITING POLICIES
Villanova University Career Services maintains a Statement of Responsibility
guided by the Principles of Professional Conduct of the National Association
of Colleges and Employers (NACE) for all parties involved in the Campus
Recruiting Program.
Students need sufficient time to make informed decisions when comparing and
responding to job offers. The following recruiting job offer policies have
been created for both full-time and internship offers to create overall
fairness to all participating parties. These time frames should assist
employers in planning their recruitment strategy and allow both employers
and students the opportunity to participate fully during the recruiting
season. Exploding offers, those made with undue pressure and insufficient
time to respond, are strictly prohibited.
Employers are also asked to offer flexibility in scheduling off-campus
second round interviews by providing an alternative date if the original
date interferes with a student’s academic schedule or first-round interview
on campus.
JOB OFFERS
Employers extending full-time job offers to students, who have interned with
them during the summer of 2007, are asked to give the student until November
1, 2007 to respond to that offer.
Employers extending full-time offers to seniors during the fall semester are
asked to give students until December 1, 2007 to respond to that offer
without pressure to respond on an earlier date. Candidates should have a
minimum of three weeks to make their final decision in response to offers
made after November 12, 2007.
Employers conducting interviews during the spring semester for full-time
positions and summer internships should give students a minimum of three
weeks to make their final decision.
We ask employers to give students until March 1, 2008 to respond to any
summer internship offer made prior to the spring semester. |
