Since 2002, the OIS has held a photo contest at the beginning
of each semester for all students who studied abroad in the previous
term. Browse through the winners, or explore all the beautiful images
from our talented and well traveled students.
All study abroad participants from
the previous semester can submit their best photos to the OIS bi-annual
photo contest.
Rules
Students may submit up to three photo for each term (semester or summer) that they studied
abroad.
Photos should be submitted under the following theme (you may submit
your three photos under the same theme)
Nova
Nation Overseas: A photo of you in your VU gear abroad Send Me
There: A photo that will inspire other students to participate in study
abroad It's
Cultural: A photo that showcases the myriad of peoples and cultures
throughout the world
Only digital photos will be accepted and all entries must be sent
to the OIS email: ois@villanova.edu
Each photo file name must include your name, title of photo,
city/location/country where the photo was taken (ie:
"John_Smith_Running_with_the_Bulls_Spain.jpg"). Photos submitted without the required information will not be added
to the photo contest. Please also include this same information in your
email, along with the program and term that you studied abroad.
Each photo entry must also include a
Photo Release Form to grant permission for the OIS to use your photos. Save
and attached this file to your email submission.
Preliminary judging will be done by the OIS
The top 40 photos selected by the OIS will be judged at the Friday, September
9th Welcome
Back Reception, (location TBA)
The deadline to submit a photo for the Spring/Summer 2011 contest
will be Friday, August 26, 2011.
