Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

Villanova's Department of Computing Sciences offers an undergraduate program leading to Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition, Villanova offers a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Information Systems.

The program is designed to provide academic preparation for those who seek careers in software development, systems software, and applications in science and mathematics. The program emphasizes the theory, abstraction and application of computing. Central to computer science is the investigation of algorithms, their complexity and the data structures on which they operate. The major in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.
