Two exceptional programs…for one extraordinary career.

In today’s hyper-competitive business world, many law firms and businesses covet students with both a JD and MBA degree.

Who should apply to the dual JD/MBA degree?

Individual interested in both law and business practices and the rules that deal with the intersection of business and law issues (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, contracts) may pursue the dual JD/MBA degree. In order to be admitted to the joint program, you must first apply and be admitted to Villanova University School of Law. You then must apply separately to The Villanova MBA Flex Track program.

Why a joint degree?

As a practical matter, having a dual degree just makes sense in today's interconnected business world. An MBA helps you to understand the intricacies of business and enhances the practice of law; a JD helps you to understand the laws governing business, putting intellectual clout behind decisions and ventures.

As a professional matter, the JD/MBA gives you an undeniable competitive advantage. You will automatically become more marketable in law or business, and you will have added flexibility for future career or job changes.  Some of the many career options for which dual degrees are beneficial include: mergers and acquisitions attorney, in-house corporate counsel, entertainment and sports agent, insurance and securities underwriter, securities regulator, investment banker, venture capitalist, and corporate litigator.

Do you want the ultimate career edge? Look into the Villanova Joint JD/MBA program.
