VSB Welcomes 12 New Faculty Members

“We are pleased to welcome these accomplished scholars to the Villanova School of Business community," said Wen Mao, PhD, the Helen and William O'Toole Dean of VSB. "These professors joining our world-class faculty bring outstanding scholarship and a strong dedication to preparing students for successful careers.”

The newest members of the VSB faculty are:

Maria N. Borysoff, PhD

Maria N. Borysoff joins VSB as a visiting assistant professor in the Accounting & Information Systems Department. She earned her PhD in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MBA in Finance from the University of North Florida, and graduate and undergraduate degrees from Kyiv National University in Ukraine. Prior to joining VSB, Dr. Borysoff served as an assistant professor of Accounting at George Mason University. Her research examines how private equity investment is transforming accounting firms and the implications for audit quality, governance, and the future of the profession, with publications in Review of Accounting Studies and the Journal of Financial Reporting. Her expertise has contributed to policy discussions with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and other regulatory audiences, and she has provided professional commentary on these developments to the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. Her work is driven by a commitment to producing research that is both academically rigorous and relevant to the evolving challenges facing regulators, practitioners, and business leaders.

Dario Cardamone, PhD

Dr. Cardamone joins VSB's Economics Department as The VSB Dean's Assistant Professor. He earned his PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame after completing a graduate degree at the Barcelona School of Economics and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London. His research interests include macroeconomics, macro-finance, monetary economics, fiscal policy and inequality. He recently participated in the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's Mentoring and Advancing PhDs program and completed research training at the European Central Bank. His research has been published in the European Economic Review.

Sookti Chaudhary, PhD 

Dr. Chaudhary joins VSB's Economics Department as an assistant teaching professor. She earned her PhD and MS in Economics from the University of Kentucky, an MBA from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India. Prior to joining VSB, she served as an assistant professor at The College of Wooster and as a visiting assistant professor at Hamilton College and Ursinus College. Her research interests include environmental economics, international trade and health economics, with projects exploring firms' environmental behavior, import competition, PFAS contamination, carbon markets, environmental injustice, and the efficiency of emergency medical services in the United States. She has taught a broad range of economics courses, including environmental and natural resource economics, health economics, global trade, and macroeconomics.

Dante Domenella, PhD 

Dante Domenella, PhD, will join the Economics Department as an assistant professor in Fall of 2027 after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale University during academic year 2026-2027. He has completed his PhD in Economics at Stanford University after earning bachelor's degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on health economics, labor economics and industrial organization, with a particular emphasis on healthcare markets, hospital policy and labor market power. He has also worked with the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and his work examines how public policy can improve healthcare outcomes and labor market efficiency.

Thomas C. (TC) Eley IV, PhD

Dr. TC Eley IV, PhD, joins the Villanova School of Business as The Andrew J. Melton Jr. ’42 Assistant Professor in the Accounting & Information Systems Department. He earned his PhD in Management from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

His research develops theory to explain how emerging technologies reshape organizing and implementation processes. His work examines innovations such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Automated Driving Systems (ADS), and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). His scholarship has been presented and published in the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AoM), the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), and SAE International. His research has received several honors, including the AoM CTO Best Division Paper Award, an ICIS Best Student Paper nomination, and the Weatherhead Outstanding PhD Research Award.

Beyond his research, Dr. Eley is an active contributor to the academic community. He has received Best Reviewer Awards from both the AoM CTO Division and the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS). He also serves as the founding Director of the AoM CTO Career Mentoring Program, helping develop the next generation of scholars and strengthen connections across the global research community.

Rob Glew, PhD

Dr. Glew joins the Management & Operations Department as an assistant professor. He previously served as assistant professor of Operations Management & Business Analytics and director of the online Master of Management in Analytics program at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. He earned his PhD and Master of Engineering from the University of Cambridge. His research explores operations management, artificial intelligence, innovation, supply chain traceability and prosocial behavior, with work published in Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and Nature Communications. An award-winning educator, he has received teaching and research honors from both McGill University and the University of Cambridge.

Emma Iezzoni ’25 MBA

Emma Iezzoni joins the Accounting & Information Systems Department as an assistant professor of the practice after serving as an adjunct professor since January 2026. She brings more than 15 years of experience in organizational strategy, consulting and financial services. Most recently, she founded EJ Intelligence, a consulting firm advising organizations on strategic planning, workforce intelligence and generative AI integration. Previously, she held leadership positions at Vanguard and Deloitte, where she specialized in organizational design, people analytics, executive facilitation and data-driven talent strategy. She earned her MBA with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Villanova University and a bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations from American University. Her professional interests include organizational design, artificial intelligence, leadership development and workforce analytics.

Megan McGinnis '10 VSB, '15 MBA 

Megan McGinnis joins the Finance & Real Estate Department as an assistant professor of the practice, bringing nearly two decades of experience in private real estate investment management, with expertise spanning acquisitions, development, asset management, and capital markets. Throughout her career, she has executed and managed more than $2 billion in real estate transactions across a range of asset classes and investment strategies. Prior to joining Villanova, she served as a director at VCGR, a private real estate investment management firm, and as managing director of SSH Real Estate Investments. McGinnis also operated her own real estate consulting organization, partnering with clients on acquisitions, transaction structures, and asset management matters. She has served as an advisor to the DiLella-Mulroy Student Managed Fund and brings this breadth of industry experience into the classroom, providing students with a practical, transaction-oriented perspective on real estate and the full life cycle of commercial real estate investments.

April Meehl, PhD

Dr. Meehl joins VSB's Economics Department as The VSB Dean's Assistant Professor. She earned her joint PhD in Economics and Finance and Master of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after receiving her BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, she served as a visiting assistant professor at Haverford College after working as a research economist at the Office of Financial Research within the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Her research focuses on banking, macroeconomics and corporate finance, with an emphasis on financial stability, banking regulation and liquidity risk, and her work has been recognized by the Financial Management Association and the European Central Bank. 

Heejin Ohn, PhD

Beginning in January 2027, Heejin Ohn, PhD, will join the Accounting & Information Systems Department as a visiting assistant professor. Dr. Ohn earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of Iowa after completing a Master of Accountancy at the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Korea University. He previously served as an assistant professor of Accounting at the University of Oklahoma. Before entering academia, he worked as an audit associate with KPMG Korea and served as a financial management officer in the Republic of Korea Air Force. His research examines financial reporting, capital markets and investor information acquisition, and his work has been published in The Accounting Review.

Cathy Toner, JD, ’23 MSCM

Cathy Toner, JD, ’23 MSCM, joins the Marketing & Business Law Department as a teaching professor. A longtime member of the Villanova community, Toner has served in several leadership roles at VSB since 2012, most recently as assistant dean for External Relations and Strategic Event Planning. She has also taught as an adjunct faculty member in Marketing & Business Law since 2017, developing courses in business law, employment law and business writing while mentoring students pursuing careers in law and business, earning her the William J. O’Neill Award for Teaching Excellence in 2022. 

Before joining Villanova, she held leadership positions at Vanguard in strategic planning, product management and communications. She earned a Master of Science in Church Management from VSB—for which she earned the 2023 Bartley Medallion for Excellence in Church Management—a Juris Doctor and Master of Journalism from Temple University, and a BA in Communication from the University of Scranton. Her expertise spans marketing, communications, leadership and business law, and she is passionate about preparing students to become ethical and thoughtful business leaders.

Eric Vance, PhD

Dr. Vance joins the Finance & Real Estate Department as a visiting assistant professor. He earned his PhD and MS in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and his bachelor's degrees in Finance and Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. His research examines small business financing, government lending programs, and how public policy and financial markets influence firm growth, competition, and access to capital. At UT, he taught undergraduate investment management and served as a teaching assistant in finance and analytics courses across undergraduate, MBA and master's programs.
