VSB in the Rankings

VSB Undergraduate Program Ranked #13 in the Nation by BusinessWeek

A Message from Dean James Danko
I am extremely pleased to announce that VSB has been ranked #13 in the nation by BusinessWeek in its third annual ranking of undergraduate business schools, published today. With this performance, VSB has surpassed other prestigious business schools—most notably Georgetown and Boston College. With this year’s ranking, VSB has confirmed its strong, consistent position among the very best business schools in the United States.

VSB’s placement at #13 is particularly remarkable given the increasing difficulty of the competition. When this ranking began two years ago, 84 business schools were selected for inclusion in the process. This year, 140 were selected for inclusion. There are 1,064 accredited undergraduate business schools in the US today.

The BusinessWeek ranking is based on faculty and educational quality, student services, and business relevance. VSB’s performance in this well-respected ranking affirms the quality of the business education provided by VSB—and the recognition of this quality internationally. I would like to thank all VSB faculty, staff, students, families, alumni, corporate partners, and friends for their hard work and their dedication to making VSB an outstanding business school.

The BusinessWeek rankings results are viewed by tens of millions of people worldwide. Such public recognition builds the prestige of VSB and Villanova University; provides positive affirmation of the outstanding work of VSB community members; and increases the value of the degrees already earned by Villanova alumni. The impact of this ranking is further evidenced by positive trends in admissions. Since VSB entered the BusinessWeek top 20 two years ago, applications to VSB have doubled.
