VSB Undergraduate Program Ranked #11 in the Nation by BusinessWeek
A Message from Dean James Danko
I would like to congratulate the entire VSB community on our #11 placement in
the fourth annual BusinessWeek ranking of undergraduate business schools. With
this performance, up two places from last year, VSB has confirmed its strong
position among the top schools in the United States—and has once again surpassed
other prestigious business schools including Georgetown and Boston College.
VSB’s rank of #11 is especially noteworthy given the increasing difficulty of
the competition. The number of schools selected for initial inclusion in the
rankings pool has increased from 80 to 150 over the past four years.
The BusinessWeek ranking is based on faculty and educational quality,
professional development, business relevance, and student satisfaction. VSB’s
placement within this well-respected ranking underscores our commitment to
excellence and care for our students. In the ranking released today, the
Villanova School of Business performed exceptionally well in a number of
categories:
- Student Grade for Teaching Quality: A+
- Student Grade for Job Placement: A+
- Overall Academic Quality Rank: #5 in the Nation
- Top Schools for Internships: #7 in the Nation
- Overall Student Satisfaction Rank: #8 in the Nation
I want to extend special thanks to all Villanova faculty, staff, students,
families, alumni, corporate partners, and friends for their valuable
contributions of time, support, and talent to our school. The BusinessWeek
rankings results are viewed by tens of millions of people worldwide. Such public
recognition builds the prestige of VSB and Villanova University; provides
positive affirmation of the outstanding work of Villanova community members; and
increases the value of the degrees already earned by Villanova alumni. The
impact of this ranking is further evidenced by positive trends in admissions,
student quality, fundraising, and faculty recruitment efforts.
Please join me in celebrating this achievement for VSB.
