UPCOMING EVENTS

Ignite Change Case Competition

The 2024 Ignite Change Case Competition will ask students to explore strategies to mitigate homelessness through the built environment.  Students of all colleges, majors and class years (grad and undergrad) are encouraged to participate.  Each participant will be placed on a team with students from other majors to increase the variety of perspectives within teams that will be required to create viable solutions to this complicate issue.  During the kickoff, you’ll meet your team-mates and learn the details of the 2024 case.  This program is intended to serve as an opportunity to connect with community members, think creatively, and initiate thought-provoking conversations about real-world problems. No prior knowledge/experience necessary.  Competition day will take place on Sunday, 4/21/24 in partnership with The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s Pitch Day.  Winning teams will receive cash prizes.  In addition to their cash prize, the 1st place team will also have the opportunity to donate $5,000 to the non-profit of their choice.  Students can register on Handshake Here.

Villanova Real Estate Field Experiences

The Villanova Real Estate Field Experience will connect students with Villanova alumni working in real estate. The professionals will provide the opportunity and framework required to teach the student about his/her corner of the industry.  Each student will be expected to produce a deliverable appropriate to their respective real estate knowledge levels – ex, an OM, proforma, market analysis, etc. The final project should be something that could be shared with potential employers as a “portfolio” project. Students will also gain exposure to a day in the life of a real estate professional, providing insight into this industry.  Students will be expected to spend 5-10 hours per week applying new skills as they are learned.
