How is Villanova navigating the changing higher education landscape?

Indeed, these are dynamic and interesting times for higher education. Each morning, as I read The Chronicle of Higher Education, I’m struck by the volume of stories chronicling the shifts across our industry—stories of institutions grappling with uncertainty.
While a how-to manual does not exist for navigating constant changes in higher education, we at Villanova are fortunate to have something far more enduring: a clear mission and a set of Augustinian Catholic values that serve as our compass.
Every decision we make and every initiative we pursue is grounded in that identity. It shapes our academic programs. It fuels our commitment to expanding access and affordability for talented students, and to cultivating a welcoming community where all can thrive. It drives our efforts to enhance the spaces where our community learns, lives and gathers. And it compels us to pursue knowledge and discovery in service of the common good.
As the landscape continues to evolve around us, I find great strength in knowing exactly who we are—and in the values that continue to define us and guide us forward.
Villanova remains steadfast in its purpose: to form students who think critically, act with compassion and lead lives of meaning and service.
