Exploring the Challenges of Evaluating Nursing Students in the Clinical Practice Setting

Explore your personal biases that influence the evaluation of a student’s performance. Join with other clinical educator colleagues to develop and refine your evaluation skills that help students improve their performance at the bedside. Explore and discuss effective method for evaluating students in the clinical setting especially when they are underperforming. Small group exercises will provide tangible strategies to apply immediately to practice making the clinical experiences a learning activity that engages students and provides individualized constructive and supportive feedback.
