The Global Practicum offers MBA students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges in an international setting, gaining cross-cultural experience and a global perspective on today's marketplace.
The Social Enterprise Consulting Practicum course allows MBA students to develop their professional skillset with a social enterprise organization serving the common good within the greater Philadelphia community or any organization in the US. Students will learn how to think about business and non-business social enterprises in a holistic fashion, recognizing that issues and concerns arise over time that require an understanding of the intersection of marketing, finance, operations, fundraising, strategic planning, and other areas. This course is designed to have a mission-driven emphasis reflective of Villanova’s Augustinian values.
The Villanova Executive MBA Capstone Action Learning Project (CALP) provides organizations with the opportunity to collaborate with experienced Executive MBA candidates on real-world business challenges. Faculty-guided teams bring diverse professional perspectives and an average of 16 years of work experience to an immersive, stakeholder-centered consulting engagement spanning two semesters. By applying qualitative and quantitative frameworks, students develop a deep understanding of the sponsoring organization's needs and deliver innovative, actionable recommendations that create meaningful value.
