ADMISSIONS
MSCM applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so you may submit your application at any time before the final deadline. The MSCM program admits students for the summer term. Classes begin in May each year, followed by a one-week residency on the Villanova University campus during early June.
Admission to the MSCM program is based on experience, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay. Standardized test scores are not required. All applicants must have an undergraduate degree in order to be considered; international applicants must have their undergraduate transcripts independently evaluated to show an equivalence to 120 U.S. credit hours.

PROMPT:
How will your participation in the Master of Science in Church Management program contribute to your ability to carry out your ministry in your Church?
Professional recommendations from two individuals familiar with the applicant's professional and/or academic accomplishments. Applicants pursuing a scholarship should have a ministry lead, supervisor, or pastor write at least one of the recommendations. Each recommender is asked to complete the form and submit a letter that discusses the four points below. If you ask a recommender to compose a letter prior to their officially receiving instructions, remind them to include the below topics as a guideline:
- Length of time he/she has known the applicant
- Basis of the professional relationship
- Applicant's strengths
- Applicant's areas for improvement
*When you enter your recommenders' information into the application form, they will be sent an email invitation on your behalf instructing them how to submit their recommendation. Recommenders are able to submit their recommendation regardless of your application submission status.
International applicants must have any non-U.S. transcripts independently evaluated to show an equivalence to 120 U.S. credit hours. One official transcript evaluation from each post-secondary educational institution for which nine credit hours or more of course work was taken is required.
Villanova requires that, before an application can be considered for admission, transcripts from colleges and universities outside the U.S. and Canada undergo a course-by-course analysis by an expert academic credential evaluator in the United States. Students are responsible for paying all fees for such evaluations and making arrangements with the credential evaluation company to send and receive their documents. Fees vary depending on the evaluator and whether a translation is needed. If you are using the service of a credential evaluator that has the capability to send the credentials evaluation electronically, please instruct them to send it to gradinformation@villanova.edu; otherwise, please use the mailing address. Paper transcripts should be sent to:
