FIREPITS at THE GROVE
Opened in 2022, the Grove is a designated outdoor event space on campus open to use by members of the Villanova community. The Grove can be found in between Mendel Field and Alumni Hall, adjacent to the Rowen Campus Green.
Firepits at The Grove
The Grove features:
- Seven gas-powered firepits
- 42 Adirondack chairs (six at each firepit)
- String lights
- Electrical outlet (located on a lamp post)
In general, any event with firepits should take place at the Grove. Using the built-in firepits at the Grove as opposed to requesting to have firepits placed elsewhere on campus helps the Grounds Department preserve outdoor spaces on campus. Additionally, using the Grove is more efficient and cost effective for event requestors. Any requests for firepit usage in campus areas other than the Grove will be considered by University Events on a case-by-case basis.
Reserving the Firepits
- Submit an event request using VenueVU, indicating "The Grove" as the location.
- Submit a work request to Facilities Management using the Event Assistance Request Form, indicating "The Grove" as the location of the event and specifying how many firepits (out of 7) should be lit.
- University Events will accept or deny your event request after confirming space availability. Approval from University Events does not guarantee acceptance of your work order with Facilities Management.
