FIREPITS
Villanova has two permanent firepit areas available for gatherings and events, The Grove on the Villanova Campus and the Cabrini Firepits on the Cabrini Campus.
Reserving Firepits
- Request The Grove or Cabrini Firepits in VenueVU
- Submit a work request to Facilities Management using the Event Assistance Request Form, indicating the location of the event and specifying how many firepits (out of 7) should be lit.
- University Events will accept or deny your event request after confirming space availability. Approval from University Events does not guarantee acceptance of your work order with Facilities Management.
The Grove
The Grove, opened in 2022, is a permanent firepit area located between Mendel Field and Alumni Hall on the Villanova Campus. The Grove features:
- Seven gas-powered firepits
- 42 Adirondack chairs (six at each firepit)
- String lights
- Electrical outlet (located on a lamp post)
In general, any event with firepits on the Villanova Campus should take place at The Grove. Any requests for temporary firepit usage in campus areas other than The Grove will be considered by University Events on a case-by-case basis.
Cabrini Firepits
The Cabrini Firepit area is located immediately adjacent to the Cabrini Arbor and next to Cascia Hall. This area includes:
- Seven gas-powered firepits
- Adirondack chairs (six at each firepit)
- Electrical hook-up
In general, any event with firepits on the Cabrini Campus should take place at the Cabrini Firepits. Any requests for temporary firepit usage in campus areas other than at the permanent firepits will be considered by University Events on a case-by-case basis.
