Stop by the McNulty Institute each Thursday during March to celebrate and honor Women’s History Month. Activities include making your own bag charm, writing letters to a woman who has influenced you, and creating your own bingo vision board.

Wikipedia Edit-a-thon Highlighting Historically Significant Villanova Women: Thursday, March 19. 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. | Room 205, Falvey Library 

Join the Falvey Library to celebrate Women’s History Month with a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon highlighting historically significant Villanova women. Whether you’re a beginner or expert Wikipedian, you can make an impact by increasing the representation of women online. You will be provided with everything you need to start editing entries right away! Snacks will be provided in this drop-in/out style event led by Nancy Foasberg and Margot Accettura. Reminder: Don't forget your laptop! If you have a chance, we recommend creating a Wikipedia account prior to the event. If you’d like, you can sign up at the meetup page on Wikipedia! This event is co-sponsored by the Research & Scholarly Engagement Department and Community Enrichment Committee of Falvey Library.

St. Rita of Cascia Day of Service: Friday, March 20th – 10 A.M. – 4 P.M.

Known as the Saint of the Impossible, St. Rita devoted her life to healing conflict and bringing peace to her community. Her story is one of patience, reconciliation, and courage in the face of violence and division. What can we learn from her today? Sign up for a time slot and come take part in the St. Rita of Cascia Day of Service to explore her legacy and reflect on how we, too, can be instruments of peace in our own communities. During your visit, you’ll learn more about St. Rita’s life, engage in a brief conversation on reconciliation, and participate in a service activity focused on addressing violence in Philadelphia. Film Screening and Conversation: Period. End of Sentence. |  Wednesday, March 25 – 5:30 P.M. | Room 115, Corr Hall

Join the McNulty Institute and the Office of Belonging and Inclusion for a special screening of Period. End of Sentence, the Oscar-winning 2018 Netflix short documentary. The film tells the powerful story of women in rural India who challenge the stigma surrounding menstruation by learning to manufacture affordable sanitary pads for their communities.

Throughout its journey, the film highlights themes of dignity, education, entrepreneurship, and financial independence, while shedding light on the cultural taboos that continue to shape conversations about menstrual health worldwide.

We invite you to watch this inspiring story with us and engage in a meaningful conversation about gender equity, health, and empowerment.
