Villanova Law hosts over 40 student-run organizations, serving to enrich the community.
These organizations are an integral part to providing academic resources, professional networking and other beneficial opportunities and events to law school students. The Student Bar Association (SBA) Board provides funding, authorization and guidance for all student organizations.
All student organizations are open to all Villanova Law students.

Mission:
The mission of the American Constitution Society is to harness these values of compassion and respect for each individual, and to reincorporate them into American law and politics, in order to build a stronger and more decent national community. We seek to restore the fundamental principles of respect for human dignity, protection of individual rights, genuine equality, and access to justice to their rightful and central place in American law. We want to strengthen the intellectual underpinnings of, and the public case for, a vision of the law in which these values are paramount.

Mission:
The mission of the Criminal Law Society at Villanova Law is to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of criminal law and its role in society. Our society seeks to foster a community of law students who are passionate about criminal law and committed to promoting justice, fairness, and accountability in the criminal justice system. Through various educational and professional development opportunities, we aim to provide our members with the knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities needed to excel in criminal law practice. Our society also strives to engage with the wider legal community, including practicing criminal defense attorneys, prosecutors, judges, and law enforcement professionals, to foster dialogue and promote a better understanding of the complexities of criminal law. Ultimately, the Criminal Law Society at Villanova Law seeks to prepare its members to become effective advocates for justice and fairness in the criminal justice system, and to promote a deeper understanding of the role of criminal law in society as a whole.

Mission:
The purpose is to support the CWSL Where Law Meets Business philosophy through programming that highlights entrepreneurship, its relevance to the study of law, and provides frameworks for law students to explore the entrepreneurial mindset.
The Entrepreneurship Law Society’s mission includes connecting aspiring entrepreneurs within the law school, as well as throughout Villanova University, and providing them with resources, information, and advice on how to turn their dream into reality through the utilization of legal frameworks. Email First Generation Lawyers Group
Mission:
The First Generation Lawyers Group’s goal is to support students who do not come from legal backgrounds as they navigate the complexities of the legal world. FGL’s commitment begins at orientation and extends through law school, the job search process, and beyond graduation. First-generation law students often face inherent challenges compared to peers with familial or communal ties to the legal profession. Without the advantage of relatives and like role models who understand the intricacies of legal education and career development, first-generation law students may encounter unique obstacles.
First-generation law students generally fall under two definitions. Individuals whose parents or guardians did not obtain a juris doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree are first-generation law students. Individuals who are the first in their families to attend a higher education institution are also first-generation law students. The emphasis of these definitions is on the lack of direct exposure to the legal profession, which can create barriers to understanding academic expectations, networking opportunities, and career advancement.
FGL serves as a vital resource for first-generation law students, providing a forum for discussion, guidance, and mentorship. The organization offers a supportive community where students can seek advice, engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges they face, and connect with mentors who share similar experiences. Additionally, FGL celebrates the achievements of first-generation law students, fostering an environment that encourages growth, resilience, and success in the legal field.

All SLS activities and decisions shall be made with the intention of achieving the following goals: further the mission of the Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law by paving the way for future industry leaders in sports law and business; provide members with opportunities to participate in relevant academic, professional, and networking activities; serve as a bridge between the law school, the local community, and relevant sports law firms and entities; and foster teamwork and camaraderie among SLS members.

Mission:
The Saint Thomas More Society dedicates itself to promoting the Catholic faith at Villanova Law School. We endeavor to build a sense of community among our members, fostering personal and group spirituality. Through Masses, lectures, retreats and informal social gatherings, we aim to help students incorporate their Catholic faith into their law school experience. Under the patronage of Saint Thomas More, patron saint of lawyers, we strive to support each other in the effort to live lives based on the Gospel and to work for harmony and goodwill throughout the legal community.

Email Student Mental Health Society
Mission:
The goal of the Student Mental Health Society is to provide a safe space for students to discuss mental health, raise awareness for mental health issues, and end the stigma surrounding mental health struggles in law school. Through programming and awareness campaigns, the organization will work to promote the mental health resources offered by Villanova University and the legal community. To address the expressed need for mental health support, this organization will act as a liaison between students and the administration, aiming to receive and voice the concerns they may have. This group will focus solely on mental health and wellness programming. Unlike other organizations, our goal will be to help students disconnect from law school and focus on taking care of their physical selves, as well as their mental health. With this focus, the organization will encourage student wellness and broader conversations surrounding mental health and well-being. As a student-led organization, we will promote Veritas, Unitas and Caritas by encouraging students to create a community of individuals who care deeply about the well-being of their fellow students.

Mission:
The mission of the Tax Law Society is to expose interested law students to the various opportunities available in tax. Our events will include inviting to campus tax practitioners from law firms, accounting firms, the government, and in-house groups in order to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about these different career paths and connect with professionals in the field. Further, we will hold events promoting the JD/LLM program available to law students. Lastly, we will provide opportunities for students to volunteer in the local community through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in the spring.

Villanova Law Republicans is a student organization dedicated to fostering open, respectful dialogue around conservative legal thought, policy, and political philosophy. Our mission is to build community among students interested in engaging with right-leaning perspectives while contributing to the intellectual diversity of Villanova Law.
We serve the entire law school community, regardless of political affiliation, by offering a mix of social gatherings, interactive student-led discussions, and events featuring prominent voices in law and government. Mission:
Villanova Law Students Against Sexual Violence (VLSASV) is a student organization that cares about the safety and wellbeing of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law (Villanova Law) community. In being committed to the belief that all people have the right to live free of violence and the fear of violence, we believe that survivors should not be blamed for the emotional, physical, and/or sexual violence perpetrated against them. Therefore, VLSASV strives to facilitate an empowering and safe atmosphere to raise awareness of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and intimate emotional, physical, and/or sexual partner violence through education.
Our goals are to: (1) develop education to broaden the awareness of sexual violence; (2) disseminate information on nearby resources for survivors and others impacted by sexual and interpersonal violence; and (3) encourage active involvement in prevention efforts by students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Mission:
The Women's Law Caucus (WLC) organizes and participates in programs and events to raise awareness about legal and non-legal issues that affect women. The WLC strives to create spaces for its members and the law school community to openly discuss these issues. The WLC has strong relationships with other student groups at the law school and with Villanova alumni. The WLC welcomes any member of the Villanova community to join the organization.
