INTERNSHIPS AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Students have access to internship opportunities and immersive programs that deepen academic learning and provide hands-on professional experience.

The Office for Professional Development supports students through every step of the process, from identifying opportunities to applying, interviewing and succeeding in their chosen fields. CLAS students secure internships at a wide range of organizations including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Nationalities Services Center, Pfizer, the Philadelphia Justice Project for Women and Girls, Penn Medicine, SAP and more.

Interships for Credit

Students may apply to earn academic credit for an internship by completing our application form. The University cannot retroactively award academic credit for an internship, so students must apply to participate in the internship-for-credit program before the start of their internships.

Campus Internship Programs

The Vatican Internship

Villanova University is the only institution of higher education in the world with an internship program in the Vatican. Learn about internship opportunities for Computing Sciences students and Communication students.

The Office of Education Abroad

Internships that are part of a study abroad experience are administered by the Office of Education Abroad.

The Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest

The Lepage Center offers funding for Villanova undergraduate and graduate History students to develop their professional skills with paid summer internships. The Center partners with historical organizations across the country, providing Lepage interns with first-rate experiences working on projects that serve the public interest.

  

IMMERSION PROGRAMS

The College partners with the University Career Center on three immersion programs:

  • Villanova on the Hill in Washington, D.C.
  • Villanova on Set in Los Angeles
  • Villanova at the Agency

The Washington Minimester is a three week program administered by the Department of Political Science.
