RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES

The Africana Studies Program collaborates with other University offices and connects students to other important opportunities to understand and participate in the Black experience.

University Offices

Center for Access, Success, and Achievement (CASA)

CASA houses a number of resources, such as scholarships, tutoring, academic counseling, and life coaches that provide access to success. The center also coordinates programming throughout the year to promote self-care, self-actualization, and self-advocacy.

Edward Collymore Honor Society

This society recognizes scholars of high moral and academic integrity, fosters academic and professional improvement, and encourages individual excellence in order to empower the multicultural community to make a substantial impact on the campus of Villanova University.

UNITAS: Office of Community Enrichment

UNITAS: Office of Community Enrichment works to advance mutual respect, connection and belonging throughout our community. They offer a variety of workshops and lectures for faculty, staff or students that encourage self-reflection, understanding and individual growth.

Student Groups

Black Student Union

African and Caribbean Villanovans

By exposing Villanova to African and Caribbean cultures, through fashion shows, galas, fundraisers and various other events we can create an open dialogue about the significance of recognizing each and every ethnicity.

Wazobia African Dance Company

Wazobia African Dance Company was formed in the unity of dance, combining modern and traditional African styles with step, hip-hop and modern dances.
