Villanova University’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) provides world-class leadership development while providing students with full tuition, a book stipend and more.

Villanova University’s NROTC battalion consists of more than 70 midshipmen, under the advisement of an active duty staff of highly trained and motivated sailors and marines. Known for its dedication to excellence, motivation and pride, Villanova NROTC has provided our nation with the finest Navy and Marine Corps officers for more than 50 years.

SUMMER SEMINAR

Rising high school seniors can participate in a four-night/four-day on-campus experience with the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program during the summer. FALL BALL

In celebration of the Navy and Marine Birthdays the annual Fall Ball brings together the Villanova battalion and staff. Celebrated in October or November, it is a military and social gathering that includes ceremonial drill and cake cutting, dinner, drinks, dancing and music.

MILITARY EXCELLENCE COMPETITIONS

During Military Excellence Competitions (MECs) military units compete against one another in physical activities and military skills. NROTC units from all over the region attend, creating a high level of competition while fostering camaraderie and teamwork amongst future coworkers and shipmates. MORE...

BIANNUAL PARADES

At end of the each semester, the Battalion of Midshipmen conduct a formal parade. Parades are a visual presentation of the military discipline, professionalism and teamwork necessary to succeed as a member of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Historically, Villanova has been conducting parades for decades.
