The Director of Public Safety is responsible for administering the internal review process; however, complaints may be investigated by the Associate Director of Public Safety, Manager for Investigations, or another departmental supervisor depending upon the type and severity of the complaint. In appropriate cases, the Office of Human Resources may consult or assist in an investigation. The goal of the process is to reach a determination that is objective and fair.
