Monday Morning Mentor

A weekly 20-minute online program that focuses on relevant teaching issues and offers practice-based approaches. Each session is available for faculty on demand, 24/7 for one week. Weekly sessions aren’t archived, but transcripts are available through VITAL.

Access to the Monday Morning Mentor (MMM) Series is available through the Teaching Professor Digital Library dashboard. Faculty can access the weekly programs by creating an account and registering under the institution's group subscription.

September 14-20: When and Why Do Students Engage with Course Readings

Course readings often play an important role in student learning, but how can faculty help students engage with them more effectively? This program explores what influences students’ reading behaviors and offers evidence-informed strategies for evaluating and structuring reading assignments. Faculty will consider how to frame the purpose of readings, provide support for challenging material, and develop learning activities that encourage preparation, discussion, and active engagement.
