New Faculty Support
VITAL supports faculty who are newly appointed at Villanova by providing pre-fall virtual check-in sessions designed to help faculty prepare for their teaching responsibilities and introduce them to pertinent instructional resources. In addition, new faculty colleagues engage with the VITAL Faculty Mentor program throughout their first year. Please refer to the VITAL Faculty Mentor program for details.
The Office of the Provost offers an orientation program designed to acquaint newly appointed faculty with faculty life at Villanova and the core academic and institutional resources. The program will be held Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Inn at Villanova University.

The program has been designed to support part-time faculty members in their instructional role, discuss learning-centered teaching practices, familiarize them with instructional policies and resources and offer a collegial forum for observations and questions.
