A Campus Mural Makeover
Students transformed a familiar stretch of Ithan Avenue with a redesigned mural
A recognizable corner of campus on Ithan Avenue leading to the South Campus residence halls received a fresh look thanks to a student-led effort. Since arriving on campus in 2022, Student Body President Aleko Zeppos ’26 VSB had hoped to revive a fading artwork created by the University’s Student Government Association a decade ago for the 10th anniversary of the St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service. His idea came to life this past September, during the 20th annual Day of Service, when a group of volunteers painted a new piece. Designed by incoming Student Body President Brady Keane ’28 CLAS, the work was inspired by vintage postcards and shaped by what students find most beautiful about Villanova. Blue butterflies were added in memory of a student who passed away last year.
