The Greek word Polis means more than just a dwelling place or residence. In ancient Greece, the Polis was also the forum where citizens could realize their intellectual and creative potential. As a community of students and faculty coming together to share thoughts and ideas, Polis Literary Magazine thus invokes the spirit of the ancient Polis.

Polis accepts submissions of opinion essays, short stories, poetry, reviews, black-and-white photography and artwork year-round. Submissions should be sent via email to polis@villanova.edu or submitted to the Honors Office.
