Villanova University has announced the appointment of the Rev. Bernard C. Scianna, OSA, PhD, ’87, as Vice President for Mission and Ministry, effective June 1, 2026. In this role, Father Scianna will oversee the University’s Office for Mission and Ministry, which plays a vital role in ensuring Villanova’s commitment to living out its Augustinian Catholic mission in every aspect of University life.
Villanova University Named Top Producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for 18th Consecutive Year
Villanova University has been named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. Students for an 18th consecutive year, as recently announced by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program, and Villanova had 17 Fulbright recipients for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Drosdick Hall: An Ecosystem of Innovation
Drosdick Hall—a state-of-the-art building expansion—unites the College of Engineering in one location, serving as a catalyst for cross-disciplinary innovation. The building boasts more than 20 new laboratory spaces, a two-story innovation lab, and green roofs that serve as cutting-edge teaching and research resources.
Villanova University Cabrini Campus Opening in 2026
Villanova University’s new 112-acre Cabrini Campus will open in August 2026, providing the opportunity for the University to enhance its programs and commitment to advancing Catholic higher education. This addition will support all aspects of campus life, providing a space that nurtures a true living and learning experience in Villanova’s Augustinian Catholic tradition.
