Student Mail

Mail Services provides mail and package support for all students through multiple campus mail centers operating six days a week during the academic year.

Shipping Anything Prior to Move-In

  • Resident students are assigned a VU box when they begin school in their freshman year. This number will remain the same for all four years;
  • Ensure you use your full legal name (no nicknames);
  • Include your VU Box Number on ALL mail and packages;
  • Use the correct campus street address based on your residence hall (see below for instructions).

Move-In Pickup Locations

Resident student shipments should arrive after August 7 for fall move-in.

  • South Campus Residents: Stanford Hall Basketball Courts (Tent)
  • Main Campus Residents: Behind Driscoll Hall Basketball Courts (Tent)
  • Commons Residents: Dobbin Hall Mailroom
  • West Campus Residents: St. Mary's Mailroom
  • Cabrini Campus Residents

Package Pickup and Notifications

Proper addressing is extremely important to ensure packages get processed and are made available for pickup on the day they are received. Mail Services works to make packages available for pickup as soon as possible, typically on the day they arrive on campus.

During high-volume periods or due to carrier delays, processing times may occasionally be extended. Students will receive an email notification when packages or mail are ready for pickup. Please wait for your email pickup notification before visiting the mailroom.
