Villanova’s Department of Mechanical Engineering offers a wide range of opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about mechanics, materials science, thermal-fluid systems, and dynamics and control technologies.

ME students collaborate with acclaimed researchers and industry partners to tackle complex, real-world problems from a scientific mindset. Our faculty engineers share their expertise both in the classroom and the lab, with specialties including advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biomechanics, biomimetics, mechatronics, nanomaterials, renewable energy, robotics and more.

Through innovative research, practical projects and collaborative interdisciplinary efforts, Mechanical Engineering students are prepared to make a meaningful impact in the field.
