- 48th Annual Donald A. Giannella Memorial Lecture, 03/11 The McCullen welcomes Akhil Reed Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, where he teaches constitutional law in both Yale College and Yale Law School. He will discuss his most recent book, "Born Equal: Remaking America’s Constitution, 1840–1920," a retrospective account of the four amendments that abolished slavery in the United States and ensured citizenship and voting rights for minorities.
- The 2026 Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Journal Symposium, 03/27 This year's symposium will feature general counsel from Philadelphia’s professional sports organizations, including the 76ers, Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Union, as well as the New Jersey Devils, who will discuss their multifaceted roles as chief legal strategists, risk managers and business advisors.
- “Beyond Survival” Documentary Screening, 02/25 "Beyond Survival" tells the story of New York’s Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA) and the powerful leadership of currently and formerly incarcerated survivors in creating change. Join us for a screening of the documentary followed by a panel discussion with key players involved in the project.
- The Villanova Law Review 2026 Norman J. Shachoy Symposium, 02/20 This year’s Villanova Law Review Norman J. Shachoy Symposium features a series of discussions on constitutional checks and balances, focusing on how the modern executive branch shapes those checks.

- Making an Impact with the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic Sidney Sponer ’26 spent a year working at Villanova Law’s Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic, where she provided pro bono counsel to food industry workers and studied immigration law. Sponer reflects on how her experiences shaped her time at Villanova and her career path after graduation.
- Kyle Schoener ’27 and Robert Slota ’27 Win 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition After weeks of preparation and preliminary arguments, Kyle Schoener ’27 and Robert Slota ’27, who argued on behalf of the respondent, were named winners of the 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel ’24 CLAS Moot Court Competition.
- Villanova Law Expands Study Abroad Offerings with Summer in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina Last summer, twelve Villanova Law students and three professors traveled to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a new study abroad program. Spanning three weeks, the program included international and comparative law courses, experiential learning and cultural immersion.
- Alumna Returns to Villanova Law to Support Students in Finding Career Success Assistant Dean for Career Strategy and Advancement Ashanti Crawford ’10 helps students find authentic ways to connect with employers—an essential part of their law school experience. She reflects on charting her career path back to Villanova Law after working in legal recruitment, her longstanding relationship with her alma mater and how her office prepares students to succeed after graduation.
