Ethics and Compliance Reporting
Each member of the Villanova University community has a responsibility to ensure that their conduct complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and University policies and procedures. Members of the community are strongly encouraged to ask questions and raise concerns.
When community members know or suspect misconduct, the University has several methods for inquiry and reporting, depending on the type of concern.
Typically, the best place to initially raise a concern or ask a question is through supervisory or department channels, following established policies and procedures. The list of resources below provides links to the reporting resource for each type of compliance concern. These reporting processes seek to protect the privacy of all individuals involved and strive to maintain confidentiality to the extent practicable.
The University prohibits any form of retaliation against those who report actual or suspected violations in good faith.
Emergency Reporting:
Please remember that the Resources below are NOT to be used in case of emergencies. In event of an emergency, DIAL:
- On Campus Emergency - 610-519-4444 (Call Public Safety)

Ethics Point is a contracted service that community members should use to report potential illegal or fraudulent conduct, waste of funds, abuse of property, or non-emergency criminal activity, or other violations of law or regulation. Ethics Point also provides a mechanism to report any concerns anonymously.
Note: Ethics Point is not a mechanism for appealing decisions made by other departments in accordance with their established policies or procedures.
