THE KRANINGER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP MATCH

The Kraninger Family Scholarship Match Program is the first-of-its-kind scholarship match for students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS).
The program will give first-time scholarship donors the opportunity to create a need-based scholarship to be awarded to talented undergraduates in CLAS.
Launched in the summer of 2026, the Kraninger Family Scholarship Match will provide $50,000 in matching funds to first-time donors who make a pledge of $75,000 or more to establish a new scholarship for CLAS undergraduates who have demonstrated financial need.
With matching funding, eligible donors will be able to meet the $100,000 threshold required to create an endowed scholarship, which will be awarded annually in perpetuity to deserving CLAS undergraduates.

Additional matching funds will activate the scholarship, providing immediate support to recipients while the endowed fund builds.
Donors can name their endowed scholarships, leaving a long-term legacy at Villanova.
Increasing support for financial aid is a top priority of Espiritus Nova: The Campaign for Villanova University and vital to achieving the University’s goal of meeting 100% of demonstrated undergraduate need laid out in the University’s Strategic Plan, Rooted and Restless.
Our commitment to providing financial aid reflects who we are as Villanovans, and, more than ever, we must meet full student need in order to compete with our Catholic and national peers.
