Kelly Good, PhD, PE, Named to 40 Under 40 List as Emerging Leader in Environmental Engineering
Kelly Good, PhD, PE, assistant professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been named to the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists’ (AAEES) 40 Under 40 list. The recognition highlights rising professionals who have made significant contributions to advancing environmental engineering and science through their work over the past year.
Dr. Good’s work in water and environmental systems bridges engineering, public health and policy. Driven by a commitment to environmental and human health protection, her research focuses on three core areas: watershed management and decision-making, contaminants and water quality, and resilient infrastructure systems.
In addition to her research, Dr. Good is a committed educator and mentor to both undergraduate and graduate students. She helped establish a senior design capstone collaboration with a partner organization in Uganda, where students have spent the past five years developing and implementing community-focused projects that improve water and sanitation access in rural areas, collectively benefiting more than 10,000 people.
“It’s an honor to be recognized in this way, and I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible students and collaborators who care deeply about water and environmental challenges,” said Dr. Good. “This award reflects the support and mentorship I’ve received early in my career at Villanova.”
