Acclaimed Journalist and NBC’s TODAY Co-Anchor Craig Melvin to Deliver 2026 Commencement Address

Villanova University President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, announced that acclaimed journalist and NBC’s TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin will deliver the Commencement address for the Class of 2026. Melvin will also receive the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. The University’s 183rd Commencement ceremony will take place Tuesday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m. in Villanova Stadium.

Faith Yost ’27 CLAS Named 2026 Goldwater Scholar

Faith Yost ’27 CLAS, a Biology major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, has been named a 2026 Goldwater Scholar by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. The Goldwater Foundation’s scholarship, awarded annually to sophomores and juniors, is considered the preeminent award for undergraduate students preparing for research careers in the sciences, mathematics or engineering.
