Join us for a live demo of VenueVU! During a thirty-minute session, we'll introduce you to VenueVU and review the process of submitting an event request from start to finish, including selecting a venue, adding event details, submitting an event to the public University calendar, and more.

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

UNIVERSITY EVENTS & INITIATIVES

Through the Office of the President, University Events and Initiatives coordinates major university events, supports strategic campus initiatives, oversees the University Events Calendar, and provides general strategy and oversight of event management at Villanova.  

The office also offers support and guidance to departments and campus partners for planning events. Please feel free to reach out with any questions related to planning or hosting events on campus. 

VenueVU Key Terms

Reservation: The "who" and "what" of an event. One reservation can have multiple bookings.

Booking: The "where" and "when" of an event. There can be multiple bookings as part of one reservation.

Request: Indicates a space that requires approval to book.

Reserve: Indicates a space that can be directly booked and does not require approval.

Status: Indicates the current state of the reservation/booking in the review process:

  • Requested (awaiting review)
  • Confirmed (approved) 
  • Web Reserved (no approval process needed; space is reserved and no further action required)
  • Denied
  • Canceled
